Welcome to PowerPlay!

You’re the manager of a futuristic power grid tasked with supplying energy to a growing network of industrial and residential consumers. Build and upgrade power plants, expand your grid with glowing power lines, and keep up with constantly shifting demands. All within limited building space. Smart planning is essential as complexity rises and new technologies unlock.

Game Mechanics

• Dynamic consumers: Consumers appear over time with varying energy requirements. Use power lines to connect them to your available power plants.
• Terrain matters: You can’t place buildings on mountains or water, so choose your layout wisely.
• Resource-driven plants: Each power plant type requires specific resources. Scan the map to find what you need.

Resources

Voltit

A lava-like substance found deep underground. Voltit power plants can tap into it over long distances, making it a reliable early energy source.

Velirium

These rare crystals hold immense potential. By combining them with other energy sources, you can unlock advanced, high-output power plants and push your grid to new limits.

Controls

• Mouse and Keyboard only!
• Use mouse to move the camera around
• Placing buildings
  • First: Select a building form the lower building menu by clicking its image with the left mouse button
  • Second: When hovering over the world grid, a preview for the selected building is shown at the cursors/mouse position
  • Third: If the building can be placed at the current position the ground below it will shine green
  • Fourth: Confirm the construction of the by clicking the left mouse button on the desired spot
  • Last: Deselect the building with the right mouse button or place more buildings of the same type
• Removing buildings
  • First: Click on the button labelled: "Bulldozer/Delete" to enter the destruction mode
  • Second: If you now click on a player building it will be destroy and the space becomes available again
  • Last: Press right mouse button to leave the destruction mode
• Quitting the game
  
  • Press ALT + F4 to quit the game/level. There is currently NO other way!
